Types of Wallpaper
Paper backed Vinyl Wallpaper

Fabric backed Vinyl Wallpaper
A patterned, striped or plain textured fabric with a Vinyl covering it. It is also easy to maintain and really beautiful however very costly. Available in plains, stripes and patterns.

Paper Wallpaper

Fabric Wallpaper

Grass Cloth Wallpaper
This wall covering has a beautiful texture and finish. It is harder to maintain, as it cannot be wiped or vacuumed, due to the texture. The color will also change over time, which may be the most off putting aspect of this type of wall covering. The good news is that there are many synthetic versions, which are easier to maintain and more resistant to the elements. This is a really good option to consider when wallpapering a wall in your home.

Calculation of wallpaper required

First off, measure the width of your surface and divide it by the width of the roll of wallpaper. This will determine the drops needed.
Next, measure the height of your surface and multiply it by the number of drops.
Your installer will calculate the cost of the installation according to the area of the surface to be wallpapered.
Wallpaper can be bought in rolls of 10m x 50cm. Always check the back of the sample and note what length and width the wallpaper comes in, and what the pattern repeat is.
